Research

I am a lecturer, with a doctorat in algorithmics and an accreditation to conduct researches in computer science. My scientific activities are guided by lattice theory and Formal Concept Analysis, and revolve around two distinct main axes:

  • Structural and algorithmic results issued from lattice theory and formal concept analysis
  • Analyzing of heterogeneous and complex data

My current research project is mainly motivated by some of our recent and promising results, under the form of innovative methods for analyzing complex and heterogeneous data. These methods, that can be applied both for pattern mining and data analysis, are legible and can be used interactivity. More precisely, we recently obtained two new results:

  • The first one is a new algorithm, NextPriorityConcept, published in August 2020, which proposes a user-driven pattern mining approach to compute concepts for heterogeneous and complex data.
  • The second one is Galactic (GAlois LAttices, Concept Theory, Implicational systems and Closures), a development platform which provides a generic implementation of this algorithm for new data analysis methods. Its first release has been published in January 2020 (Galactic.univ-lr.fr).which provides a generic implementation of this algorithm for new data analysis methods.
